Letter from Dr. Tommelleo: Second Quarter Planning Update Tommelleo Desk

Dear Liberty Families,

On Wednesday, October 7, 2020, the Liberty administration held a meeting to begin planning for the full return to school for all students. In addition to all administrators, attendees included members of the Board of Education, parents, teachers, transportation, technology, Akron Children’s Hospital and custodial staff, as a full return to school requires input from many people.

Our second grade teachers hosted an alternative to their traditional pumpkin patch field trip pumpkin

Since our second grade students couldn't visit the pumpkin patch this year, our second grade teachers decided to bring the patch to them!

PK-6 Halloween Celebrations pumpkin

Halloween will look a little different this year at Liberty PK-6.  Instead of our traditional school parade that's open to the public, our teachers have been planning fun, Halloween-themed lessons, games and activities for our students.

LHS to host virtual FAFSA workshop Meeting Flyer

Liberty High School will be hosting a virtual FAFSA (Free Application forStudent Aid) workshop for all parent/guardians and their seniors. Professional financial aid advisors from the Mahoning Valley College Access Program will provide information about the different types of financial aid and assist parents/guardians through the financial aid process.

Parents/Guardians & Seniors who plan to attend a 2-year or 4-year college/university or a career college/technical school in 2021-2022

Ohio's Connectivity Champions to help families with struggling home internet connections Remote

If you are struggling with a home internet connection, the Connectivity Champions can help. Ohio’s Connectivity Champions, one of three components of Ohio’s RemotEDx initiative, are available for live support. Connectivity Champions provide additional support to Ohio’s K-12 students and families for remote learning.

It is comforting to so quickly find a talented, committed, and most importantly, caring school community of administrators, teachers, and support staff. Our primary focus is to ensure the safe return of Liberty students and staff, and continue to provide high quality and engaging instruction for students through our blended learning options.
